ML00376 - Gold
Verespatak, Siebenburgen, Romania
small cabinet - 5.7 x 4.7 x 2.9 cm
$ 8000.00

Close inspection of the gold reveals great textures. The leaves are covered with triangular twinned crystals. Additionally, there are abundant thin crystals that resemble wires, however are likely elongate spinel twins. There are small pyrite crystals in the matrix. The fine-grained black druse has not been analyzed, but it looks suspiciously similar to telluride material.

Ex John Marshall collection.
