DZ3009 - Heulandite & Stilbite on Chalcedony

A super lustrous semi-transparent heulandite with a slight pinkish hue is perched on drusy quartz with several stilbite crystals for contrast.

This large single cube of galena with small octahedral modifications at the corners is perched on a small tab of octahedral galena with dolomite and chalcopyrite. The label lists this as St Joseph Lead District but it is almost certainly Sweetwater Mine.

DZ3003 - Siderite
La Mure, Isere, France

A large single siderite crystal with an interesting, almost waxy luster occupies the entire width of the specimen. Numerous smaller siderites have grown at an angle and are effectively martix to the large crystal.

DZ4105 - Vesuvianite

The principle crystal is so lustrous and dark that it almost looks black, but there are numerous reflections with a pleasing brown tint. The associated minerals appear to be diopside.
