CRYSTALLINE
COPPER FROM KAZAKHSTAN
We were able to purchase this great lot of crystalline copper from
Kazakhstan early on at the Tucson Show. We had been working on this deal
since last October at the Munich Show.
These specimens
were found at the Italiz Mine, in Central Kazakhstan in June of 2003.
A few pieces made it to the Denver show, but the majority were held back until
now. It was not a difficult purchase because there was not a single bad
piece in the lot.
We fell in love
with them because of the superb crystallinity, the rare herringbone leafs, and
the great spinel twinning. There is no damage on any of the specimens, and
for the most part, the specimens are entirely crystalline. We think they
will become known as some of the best crystalline coppers in the world!

slightly concave leaf with superb herringbone crystals on both
sides. One side has fairly flat crystals, while the other side has
more three dimensional crystals with small growths coming off of the
